Milestones

We have been hitting some pretty big milestones at our house lately. I can't believe how fast they grow up!

Case got his FIRST TOOTH! Actually he got 3 at once. Two on bottom and One on top. They are still pretty short but if you look close you can see them poking up. Case has also developed the art of the army crawl. He doesn't get up on his hands and knees he just pulls himself along with his arms. But he sure is FAST.

As for Hank he is officially POTTY TRAINED!!! I think we lucked out he caught on super fast. He only had accidents for a few days, even at night. He has only wet the bed one time and it has been about a month now since we started. Every time he used the toilet he got a sticker to put on his chart. He thought that was pretty cool.






We also turned his crib into a day bed so he can get in and out on his own. I can't believe he doesn't even need a crib anymore. He is getting so big. Where does the time go?

Philippines

In February we went to the Philippines. (Our computer has been broken for a while and we finally got it fixed so I can finally post again.) We had so much fun. Jake was so excited to be able to go back and visit. And for me it was really neat to be able to experience the different culture and to meet some of the people Jake baptized. So here are just a few pictures of our trip:


This is a perfect picture of what the houses are like in the Philippines. They just find whatever piece of plywood or tin they can and make a house out of it. It is really dirty.

But where there are no people it is sooooo pretty. Everything is really green and there are tons of palm trees. Doesn't that make you dream of summer?

This is a family that we visited while we were there.

Good ol' McDonalds. It was our life line for food there. It's funny cause here it is one of the nastiest places, but there it is one of the fanciest restaurants you can find.

We took a ferry boat out to Corregidor Island. It is the island where the US troops were stationed during WW2. It was attacked by the Japanese and now the whole island is just a bunch of old ruins. This was the old movie theatre. It was a really cool place to see.

We had a really fun trip. I am so glad we were able to go.

Funny Pictures!

I have a few fun pictures from the last month so I thought I would post them.

Grandma and Grandpa Hunter gave Hank and Case these shirts for Christmas. Hank's Says "What happens at grandma's stays at grandma's" and Case's says "I make baby fat look good." I think they are so funny, cause they fit their personalities perfect. Hank is quite mischievous right now and Case, well he does make baby fat look pretty cute!

Hank has started to think that he doesn't need a nap anymore. The only problem is that by about five o'clock he is sooooo tired and grumpy. But by that time it is to late to let him go to sleep before bed. So the other night he was sitting on the counter watching me make dinner. I looked over and couldn't believe it, he had fallen asleep right there on the counter. It was so cute. I was surprised because it is usually kind of an ordeal to get him to go to bed.

Case just wanted to say something.(read the hat.)

We had fondue the other night. As you can tell Hank was enjoying it! His favorite was the "bum-nanas" dipped in chocolate.

It is so fun watching them play together already. Case just loves watching Hank talk and play. Hank can always get him to smile and laugh really easy. They are so fun.

Christmas!

We had a fun Holiday Season this year. It was busy, but fun. We were able to go to Salt Lake and see the lights at temple square, next was the Smith family Christmas party, and then Christmas Eve and Christmas with lots of family visiting and Christmas shopping mixed in!

At the beginning of December we had to bring Hank up to Salt Lake to get a new brace for his feet so we were able to go to Temple Square and see the lights. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect. My Parents came down and went with us which made it even funner.

Christmas Eve!

Christmas was so much fun with Hank this year. He loved opening his presents. He got a gun and a stick horse. Oh Boy! he thought that was awesome!

Trouble!

Yesterday Case was taking a nap, Jake and I were trying to get stuff done and Hank was playing, or so we thought. He was being pretty quiet so Jake went to check on him and this is what we found.

Yes.... that is lotion. Poor Case woke up to lotion being squirted all over his face. This was one of those moments when we knew we should be mad, But we just couldn't help but laugh. But I don't know maybe Hank should have gotten in a little more trouble because this morning I found Hank just starting to do the same thing again. Luckily I caught him before it got too bad.

I think Case has forgiven him.

Happy Birthday!!!

November 19th was Hank's 2nd birthday! He was pretty spoiled. He got some presents then he went to McDonald's where he got his very own kids meal then he had lots of family over for a party with cake and ice cream.

He had a barn cake with animal cupcakes. He thought they were pretty cool. If you look close at one of the cow cupcakes you can tell he couldn't wait for the party to dip his finger into one of them.

He loves playing with his cousins bikes so that is what we decided to get him. The only problem is he is such a shrimp he couldn't reach the pedals. So we tried to put some blocks on the pedals to help, but he still can't reach. I guess he will just have to grow into it.

Luke and Gini gave him a sled. So since we got tons of snow this week

I took him out sledding on our lawn. Hank thought it was pretty fun.

Trick-Or-Treat

Lex and Gibb's families came over on Halloween. So we had all kinds of costumes:
