Halli is getting so big.  She is over 3 months now and she just rolled over all by herself for the very first time today!!!  It is amazing how fast they learn and grow.

 

Baby Blessing

Halli had her baby blessing by her Daddy on September 2, 2012.

With a beautiful blessing and lots of family there to support us it turned out to be a great day. 

We love our little Halli so much and are so grateful that she is part of our family.

Thanks so much to Grandma Becky for sewing Halli's blessing dress and crocheting her blanket.  I think she was a little nervous when I asked her to make them. But I am so glad that she did cause she did a great job and I think they both turned out so cute.

Camp Out

Since we had a new baby right in the middle of the summer this year we haven't been able to do too much outdoor summer type stuff.  So we decided to do a camp out on the lawn.  So that just in case Halli got to cold I could take her in the house.   

It turned out to be a pretty warm night and she did really good.

She slept great all cozied up in her car seat. 

Case and Hank were so excited when we set up the tent.  They thought it was a great adventure. 

I think it is so cute how the littlest things can seem like the coolest thing ever to them.

Jake even brought out the TV.  So after we had a fire and cooked hot dogs we watched a movie and ate treats until we fell asleep.  Even though we were just on our lawn it was still really fun and made it feel like we kind of got to go camping this summer. 

Reunion

This last weekend we went to a reunion for Jake's side of the family.  We stayed at the Cub River Lodge.  It was a lot of fun.

Saturday night we went to Deer Cliff Restaurant for dinner.  Hank and Case thought they were big enough to sit at the kids table.

 They decided to play a prank on Wyatt.  They asked this girl if she would ask Wyatt to dance.  So she did.  Wyatt was a good sport and said yes.

I don't know how but I didn't even get one picture of Halli during the whole reunion.  She mostly just spent the entire time sleeping and enjoying being held by Grandma Connie.

1 Month

Wow, time flies! I can't believe Halli is over a month old already.  It seems like she is growing and changing everyday.  At her one month check up she weighed 9 lbs and was 21 1/2 inches long.  So she gained over a pound and grew 2 inches. Crazy!!  Here are a few, okay a lot, of pictures of her first month of life.

Happy Birthday Case!

Happy 2nd Birthday Case!!!

I always like to make a fun cake for our kids birthdays.  I had plans to make Case a race car one this year, but his birthday was the same day as my nieces wedding, so we were busy with that and the rodeo the night before and family visiting, I never got it made.  So I decided to make it on Sunday, the day after his birthday.  Well on Sunday we ended up having 2 pies in our fridge left over from Makala's wedding so I didn't really think we needed a cake too.  So I just took the decorations I had planned on using for his race car cake and decorated up one of the pies. 

Case couldn't quite figure out how to blow out the candles, so Dad had to help.

 I think its safe to say that Case enjoyed his Birthday Pie just as much as he would have enjoyed a Birthday Cake.

Mutton Bustin'

Last year at the rodeo Hank saw some of his cousins ride a sheep.  And literally every day since then he has asked and begged me to let him ride a sheep at the rodeo. So when it was rodeo time this year we decided to let him give it a try, since it seemed to be his life long dream.  Well this is about as far as he made it......

 ....Yep, hanging onto dad in the chute.  We were sitting across the arena and about half way up the grand stand and we could still hear his hysterical screams.  I guess he changed his mind! :)
