Pigtails

Warning! Picture Overload. 

I tried putting pigtails in Halli's hair for the first time the other day.  I still can't get over how BIG it made her look.  It was so cute.  She doesn't really have enough hair for them yet.  She pretty much has a baby mullet.  Her hair is pretty short on top and longer in the back.  So we just put two little piggies coming out the back.  Hank thought it was so funny.  They only lasted about 10 minutes since her hair is not really thick enough to hold in the elastics, but it was so cute.  I can't wait until her hair is actually long enough for pigtails.

On a side note she has 2 teeth now.  One of them just broke through, but the other one is poking up pretty good now.  If you look really close you can see it poking up on the bottom.

Playdough and A Tooth

I made the boys some play dough the other day.  They have loved playing with it.  It has been so nice, playing with it has seriously kept them entertained for hours.  And when I say boys I mean Jake too :)

First Tooth: April 3, 2013

Halli's first tooth cut through yesterday.  It is her bottom, middle, right tooth.  You can't really see it yet, but you can feel it.The poor thing has been pretty miserable.  All of her gums are pretty swollen and I am sure it won't be too long before she gets a few more teeth.  Even though she wasn't feeling the greatest I still got her to kind of smile for a few photos.  She is getting so big, a tooth and she will be 9 months tomorrow.

 

Easter/Spring Pictures & Baskets

We just had our family pictures taken in the fall, but I was looking at them and realized how much the kids have changed already.  I don't think you can ever have enough pictures.  Especially when they are little like my kids and changing all of the time.  So, I decided to try and take some spring/Easter pics of the kids.  It was fun and I think they turned out pretty good.   

Hank is thinking he is getting pretty big.  He didn't want to smile for his pictures.  He was trying to do the tough serious face pose.  He was also mad that I wouldn't let him wear his hat for the pictures.

Case is as happy go lucky and care free as Hank is scared and skittish.

I really can't decide which one is my favorite between these 3 pics of Halli.  I love the different expressions she has in each one.  I can't believe how big she is getting.  She is rolling and scooting every where now.  She just discovered the stairs a few days ago and I have already had to stop her from falling down several times.  The next few months are gonna be torture:)

I can never get a good picture of all 3 kids together.  There is always one of them wiggling or not looking or something.  This is the best I could do. 

Easter Baskets

All growing up we had fabric Easter baskets that my mom had made.  So I decided to make some for my kids this year and carry on the tradition.

Crafting Party

Ugh! I hate it when I get behind on blogging.  I am always torn between going back and trying to catch up(which takes forever and I never have time to do) or just starting back up.  So for now I am just starting up and maybe sometime I will have to do a post on all of the things I missed. 

Anyways, a few weeks ago I had a big craft day at my house with my mom, sisters, sister-in-laws and the married nieces.  It was so much fun.

 We made these cute shamrocks and another really cute shamrock that Sarah cut out, but for some reason I didn't get a picture of that one. 

And this Easter table runner.

 

My mom, Bessie and Sarah spent 2 nights and the kids had so much fun playing together.  I feel really bad, I even put them to work cleaning my house.  On the second day they were here some one called and wanted to look at our house, so they all helped me clean the house and get it ready.  We had it whipped out in no time.  If only I could have like ten people cleaning my house at once every time it needs cleaned. ha ha ha.  Thanks again for helping me clean!!!

Our last family pictures were a little outdated.Since they were missing Halli.  So thanks to Makala for taking some new ones for us!  She really had her work cut out for her.  I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to get a good family picture with three little kids who never stop moving!

Halloween

The boys have been so excited for Halloween this year.  Hank decided a while ago that he wanted to be a dinosaur.  Well the closest thing I could find to a dinosaur was this dragon costume, but it turned out ok cause Hank just thinks its a dinosaur with wings.

Pumpkin Carving

A few weeks ago Hank found a pumpkin carving kit at Wal Mart that he just had to have.  Ever since then he has been begging us to carve our pumpkins.  We finally got around to it for family night this week.  Hank didn't want Dad to help him carve his, because he thought Jake would carve a scary face and he was insisting that his pumpkin could NOT have a scary face!(shocking, I know!)

And then Jake had to turn it into a competition, so it ended up being :

(The little fangs were the spookiest I could get Hank to agree to.)

Only problem is that left no one to be the judge, well except for maybe Halli.



So Jake still says theirs was the best, while Hank insists his is the best and Dads is scary.

Either way we had fun carving them and they now add a little Halloween fun to our front porch!
